Let silence in

Over and over Iíve crossed the earth
on and again Iíve faced death,
pinned to the ground,
a pawn in the cruel game
of a fallen angel,
of a fading power.
Iíve sparred with orcs
And dragons I couldnít fear,
Iíve slaughtered all
Who stood in my way,
Iíve slaughtered the pity
Still left in my heart.
We have taken lives,
we have taken souls,
nobody could hope to be safe
from the blade of Mormegil.

Now let silence in!
My ears are tired of screams,
my eyes are tired of blood.

On, and on, and on and on,
Iíve buried innocence,
caught in the cruel
wheel of fate.

I sought to dominate
That which trapped me
Beyond all hope;
A Turin Turambar
turun ambartanen!
I couldnít stand
Against an enemy fate,
I alone wished to be the champion
Of free will;
but fate has caught up with me,
I now see it coming;
let us be done with it,
and let us forever rest.

Now let silence in,
let it fall on my mind,
let it take me away.

On, and on, and on and on,
Iíve buried innocence,
caught in the cruel
wheel of fate.

Now drink my life,
drink my blood,
for you already drank
the gore of your master.
And I will bathe in it
As I have always done;
but thy shall carry me away
with you for eternity;
still a part for you
is laid on the Wheel;
and I will take part
in your redemption.
Let it be done!
Let the flames of deliverance
cleanse my soul;
yet Iíll be the champion
I sought to be;
free will shall rejoice
when the end will come
for all human things.
Let silence in.
